Clifton Bingham is very closely associated with the work of two composers, Edwin Greene and Edward St. Quentin. Of the former's songs, "Sing Me to Sleep" has attained an enormous popularity, although Bingham declares that the lyric was offered to over forty composers and publishers before it ultimately found acceptance.
