I think there are points in between the extremes. I suggest more or less the !o n mari method..or categories rather than rooms. Think volume..get sofas gone before clothespins...there is danger of losing steam if you empty a room or even a closet..that approach would not work for me. Just keep lightening the load and keep nothing the kids might want unless they ask you too.
