This is my thing, too.

My latest is a mash-up of Ralph Waldo Emerson's "Goodbye" (1846) with "The Wayfaring Stranger" (Roud 3339).

I rewrote two lines of the poem and borrowed two lines from the folk song lyric to use for a refrain.
