I do hope the BBC re-issue the series Bob Hitchcock mentioned above - a fascinating study of music, in three parts (melody, harmony, rhythm) - I remember being spellbound when I saw GM interviewing an American musicologist who had recorded trees drawing up water and then amplified the sounds, creating a brilliant rhythm you could dance to.... the Rhythm of Life
