Otters ain't the problem. It's bush pilots that figure, "I can make it." for whatever reason. Near bit it in Makkovik too. That was really scary. Overloaded. Even after dumping cargo back at the dock after nearly pitching in trying to take off, we flew at full flaps for an hour but couldn't get out of the canyon to go straight to Goose Bay... that costs FUEL! Plus, I had to clean up the vomit from two small children because, well, I am a gentleman and I wouldn't let the mother take off her seat belt to get to them as it was a bumpy ride and she was pregnant... very pregnant. Hand gestures only. They weren't too happy that a stranger was tending to them but the mother said something in Innu and they became as calm as kittens in an instant.
