We have been walking on water the last couple days: the ice pellets formed a crust on the snow that even the car had trouble getting through. The sanding/plow truck had trouble getting up the hill yesterday morning and had to make 3 trips to get through and sand. I went no where until the evening when the roads were clear and I managed to get out of the driveway to go to the music. Whew!

Above freezing today and the deck is clear and the roof as well by early eve. Then I brought in some wood; I really hate water dripping on my head! It is still 40F and tomorrow meant to be warmer!!! That south side might get free of snow again. Today felt like the first day of spring - again! I wonder how many we shall have before actually having spring.

Wonderful pancake BF and flea market this am in Wilberforce and visits along the way back - dropping off boxes for antique store friends who always need them for shipping. I collect them from grocery when available.

R is on his way from Montreal with a larger frig and a small freezer - for freezing good local produce this summer. I did not get much done today after I got home as I thought he might be here by 6. He finally phoned about 8; I had a moment of considering de-cluttering my life... He might be here by midnight if he does not have to stop and sleep. Had I known sooner, I would have made some pots; the studio was still 60 at 7 pm from solar gain. Chicken is nicely cooked - for tomorrow! Goin' to bed!
