Crossing another item off of the list on the fridge. I finally got rid of the extra fence posts standing inside the stockade fence - at one time there were two fences paralleling the boundary on the SW side of the yard, and weeds and vines used to grow between. The original owner of this house was a bit eccentric and put it up way inside the property line. The neighbor's fence that stands now and was just behind it is way inside my line also - one of these days when that one needs replacing we'll survey and put a new one up in the proper place.

It's not that big a deal except that if you don't acknowledge that someone else has fenced off your property, after a while if you don't acknowledge the problem it becomes theirs. (I forget the term for that, but I've seen a court battle over just such a boundary line. My friend won - but it's an expensive way to get your property back.)

Anyway, now I have 10 stained solid wood fence posts that I can use on the ground for a raised bed.
