I'm on the second round of burning a BluRay disk of an opera I recorded via the receiver in my computer back in 2012. There are four (Wagner's Ring Cycle on PBS) and it amounts to about 15 hours of broadcasts that I'm converting to mp4 files and burning to BluRay. The first attempt had no chapters, making it difficult to advance through - hit chapter advance once and it was out of the entire 3+ hour program. It's burning now with (I hope) chapters being automatically added. I was trying to edit out some of the channel's earlier and later programming that ended up in the recording, but for now, I'll settle for a good disk of the whole thing. I played the first one this morning and it is gorgeous. Now to work out the details on the formatting.

Moving furniture, doing laundry, cooking. My freezer is slowly being emptied of the produce frozen from the last year's garden and I have two jars of marinara sauce to use in the next week or two. I see lasagna in the near future.

Of the "usual" participants here, I think Lin has the best shot at making a huge change in a hurry, with the new flooring that was installed in her house. I am willing to bet that the floor will inspire her to arrange the room contents and organize extra stuff in a way that lets the house take on a whole new look. A good thing since she gets to stay and enjoy it. So often you hear about people fixing up their houses in order to sell and wishing they'd done the work earlier so they could enjoy it themselves. (I remember a home improvement program that featured those makeovers, and at least one set of homeowners decided not to sell after all).

Tomorrow is May 1, and Spring is fully underway. Good cleaning, and good decluttering, everyone!
