Nietzsche's statement, "Ich bein Gott, und ich bein Gott nicht," is almost always misinterpreted. He wasn't talking about "Gott", the German word for "God". He was talking about Gott brand ice chests and coolers (now made by Rubbermaid). He was simply confused as to whether he was a 48 quart Gott, or a similarly sized Igloo, Coleman, or Thermos. If he were still around today, he'd be even more confused since he'd also have to contend with the possibility of being a Yeti.

Exactly where Nietzsche's conviction that he might be an ice chest came from is a bit of a mystery. But if one must be an inanimate object it's good to be something useful, like a cooler, instead of something utterly useless, like a Chia Pet.
