What bothers me is the people who exploit the Mudcat to engage in wrangles. For example, the thread on the "Easter Rising" has over 1100 posts.

After 12 hours, my thread on the interesting tune called "Dance of the Demon Daffodils" has 3 posts and is unlikely to have any more. Yet the Mudcat is supposed to be about music.

I've donated money to the Mudcat. I wonder how many of those on contentious BS threads have ever donated.

Not all BS threads are contentious, but I think that even positive threads, such as "Janie's Rainbow" should be stopped and made to start over after a while. Who's going to read hundreds of posts? And why should electricity and memory be given over to preserving them?

I think BS threads should be stopped at 256 posts. Why? Because 256 is 16 times 16. It's real binary.
