Wonderful inspiring posts from Linn and Patty! And M's gave me an idea for a porch shade project = after a bunch of other things!

There is VERY little in our home - any of them - that did not come from a thrift shop. If we decide something does not suit, it simply goes nack to a thrift shop. I am chronically stunned by the amount of fine goods, and junk, in the several thrift shops in this rural area. I am shopping less now as we seem to have plenty of everything, even the shelves I needed so badly.

Said shelves now need to be put in place and I am waiting for my friends to have time to do chores for me, that I simply do not have the energy or strength for.

R is on the 4th day of repairing the septic. The problem seems to stem back to a time when someone, told not to ... did. They broke through the lid of the tank and "repaired" it; There are small stones in the tank and one about an inch in diameter was inside the pump, thus destroying it in the long term. When R is finished, we should be ready for the next millennium! We have been fortunate to have clear days - but hot. HAT ON! Bugs are pretty plentiful in spite of the dragonflies doing their best. Every time he needs to make another trip, we are grateful that is only a few minutes away.

Someone is coming by tonight (?) to see about de-cluttering the knee high grass/weeds! I did not bother last year but this year I seem to need less, esp when needing to walk up to the, now level!, outhouse, which still needs cleaning, a window and siding. Siding and wood for deck extension are here, awaiting helpers. I am trying to not be too frustrated by a half dozen "I cannot do this until that is done..." projects - that I cannot do alone. R is going to deserve another vacation after his project!
