This song is in my orbit and gets an airing every now and again. An ailurophile, I do of course apologise when we get to the 'cat' verse!

As a lad, I'd listen to the Billy Cotton Bandshow every Sunday lunchtime on the BBC Light Programme and 'Father papered etc.......' was a vocal feature for Alan Breeze one of Cotton's members.

I'd look forward to hearing this on a fairly regular basis - these were of course simpler times!!!!
