Not strictly cowboy, but have a go on a takamine EF407... ("New Yorker") I've just bought one, and it's quite lovely. Similar to a small bodied Martin. Loud, full tone. Fabulous electronics. I'll be very surprised if I ever need a better one.

The Martins are also very good.

Do you want vintage or new? Makes a big difference to prices.

Keep you eyes peeled for old Levins as well. My dad plays British fingerstyle rather than country, but his old "Goliath" is fabulous for fingerpicking. And it's a fantastic red/gold sunburst. Very pretty.
