Mill:
The music was great and I managed one glaze firing which came out fine but took 5 hours longer! We cannot figure out why; usually elements wearing out make it slow down over a period of months but this happened between one firing and the next. Still contemplating! In any case, my energy level has not been adequate, mainly due to heavy weather. R and I had a nice weekend with the music events and doing things around the vicinity. Finally --- got him to remove from LR the cabinet to go to Beaver (so I can organize BR!) and he found and brought into LR the replacements; temporarily - for who knows how long! - the beautiful bamboo cabinets I had bought for the bathR we still do not have. They are too large for Beaver; I would love to have had them there. In any case, it is nice to see them out of the dreadful storage area. They are so beautiful!

After R left, I found the bed frame I want him to take to Beaver (too big for my car). And had a chat with Fritz about getting the place better organized. Also had words with R about that before he left. Both a lack of clear communication and R's lack of .... I'm not sure what. He designated an area for F then filled it with stuff. We are each frustrated. Progress needs to be made. F will extricate the Bed frames for me so R can bring them to Beaver on Friday.

My car, as I leave tomorrow, will be loaded with stuff that will be useful at Beaver OR will eventually be sorted so some can find new homes. Clearing space here for R's SOMEDAY wood working area.

I finally sat him down and explained, "You don't want to hear this but.... I no longer find "maybe next year" reasonable. I am no longer feeling that next year will be happening for me....." Perhaps recognizing that one's age -almost 80- is a psychological factor in viewing life and time factors is also a sort of de-cluttering factor. I have a sense of wanting/needing things to happen ASAP so I have time left to enjoy, for example, a home that is as nice as I can make it. It is great to know I am going back to the improvements Dan has made for me - better storage areas, a place where I can sort and organize and discard the chaff.

As for the stove wood! Remember that this is my main heat source! I am SO happy that it is well done and I am taking a heavy duty cover back with me - the skin of the Tempo that collapsed a few years ago will keep the wood well protected through the winter.
