I was under the impression that comparative religion was the order of the day in state schools and the facts therefore consisted of information as to what was believed and practised by whatever religion in question. It is a shame the same method is not used in teaching other stuff that is presented as fact but actually is rather interpretation of data that cannot be evidenced to be anywhere near conclusive.
