Every now and then I ask myself 'whats the point of me at all'? At times like this I think about my daughter who is blossoming into the special person we always knew she was and I stop that silly line of thinking and just get on with things knowing that by hook or by crook I managed to avoid repeating some of the most painful experiences of my own childhood parenting and still become a half decent dad and knowing that in a relatively few years I'll probably have the joy of a grandchild or even two and the agony and the ecstasy of watching life repeat itself all over again until my time in the cycle comes to a timely end.

I'd love to hear if there are any new 'songs' or poems out there loving or honouring our children out there since this thread last appeared.
