Packing sweet potatoes huge and small in a bin of peat moss; they'll keep in there for quite a while. Five lasagnas total now in the freezer, four of them made last night. Good thing there is a DVD/BluRay player under the kitchen television - Jane Austen flicks were good company while I worked.

My home office desk is a sea of papers. I need to sort, shred, or file these. I'd like to see the faux wood desktop.

Last week I stopped by a thrift store on my way through town in an area I rarely travel - and found a newer model of West Bend food chopper than the one I own. These are small capacity high-speed choppers and mine has a faulty switch; I rigged it with a piece of twist tie through a gap so I could turn it on and off, but I always struggle to remove the lid. The new one has everything except the chopping blade, and the blade seat is different than my chopper. BUT - my chopper cup and blade fit perfectly on this newer gadget, so I "married" the two and have put the motor of my old device into the trash. No point in sending a broken motor to the thrift store I donate to.

Other than tossing that motor, I have placed several things I never use into the donate bin, and it's almost time to make a trip over again to empty it.
