More details.

John's funeral is at 2:00pm at Lancaster and Morecambe crematorium, Powder House Lane, LA2 6AD, on Monday 19th December, followed by a "wake" at the Lancaster Brewery, LA1 3LA.

It is to be a folky service and wake so the more singers, musicians and dancers at both service and wake the better. Dancers attending from all of the morris sides represented are requested to wear kit regardless of whether or not there is a full side to dance. Hilary has requested no mourning clothes please.

The service at the crematorium will be taken by a priest who has done "folky" services before and would welcome singers and musicians to come and swell the sound.

For people coming by rail to Lancaster, it is a short taxi ride, less than 2 miles, to the crematorium, then about the same to the brewery, and the same again back to the station ( the 3 places are roughly in a triangle) and of course people could share.

There are to be family flowers only and any donations to go to "The Stroke Society" please, via J Mason and Son, Undertakers. 19 Moor Lane, Lancaster.

As we need to have some idea of numbers coming, please get back to me.
