I must admit to mixed feelings about no longer playing in a Celtic band. I miss playing for audiences. I miss the musical proficiency that comes with regular band practice. I don't miss playing at Burns Night dinners and having to pretend to to enjoy bagpipes, haggis, and some damned fool reciting "Tae a Moose, on Turning Her Up in Her Nest with the Plough."
