As a small child, I remember a Great Dane knocking me down and sort of flying back and forth over me as if I were a hurdle on a dog agility course. Obviously I was smaller than the dog at the time.

Fortunately I was cured of my dog phobia, if that's what it was, by Mickey the Bagel Dog -- that's part beagle, part other-hound like maybe foxhound.

I'm still skittish around horses though.
