Our power went off at 1.40pm, and it's only just come on again. Apparently a huge poplar tree fell on the overhead cable at a village near us. About 20,000 homes without power in Norfolk alone, and the latest count is 230 trees blown down. The biggest disaster is my tub of ice cream has melted in the freezer!
The wind has died down now thank goodness.
You're quite right leeneia, people take silly risks. You even get folk walking along the promenade beside a raging sea, dodging the waves. It's not long before someone gets swept in.
