Thread Name: Why Protest Songs Against DJT won't work
Subject: Lyr Add: SONG OF CHOICE
"But I do take exception to the rhetoric that compares him \ Hitler."
No problem with that - show me why not
He has come up on a populist racist ticket,
He has attempted to introduce racist/cultural-based measures aimed at large sections of the American population claiming them t be 'security measures' but in fact, missing out some of the states where the finances and manpower originated from.
When he was knocked back by the Justice System, he denigrated that system.
His own security system has come under fire when they didn't fall in line
The press is being manipulated because it wasn't reporting the right news.
He draws his support from the extremist right, inducing the moribund Klan....
An extremist in the making... and s loose canon
I have avoided name-calling - my comments were aimed at GFS, who I know from old to be a redneck, and at Phil, who chose to compare the left to Hitler and has come out as a Trump supporter.
I have answered as well as I am able, what I believe to be all the musical issues - and more - you have ignored what have put up and now appear to be claiming that I haven't done so.
How about responding to what I have said ?
What musical points have you made exactly?

Another of my musical points

SONG OF CHOICE
Freely
Early every year the seeds are growing,
Unseen, unheard, they lie beneath the ground,
Would you know, until the leaves are showing.
That with weeds all your garden will abound.
If you close your eyes, stop your ears,
Hold your tongue, how can you know?
For seeds you cannot see may not be there,
Seeds you cannot hear may never grow.

Rhythmically
In January you've still got the choice,
You can cut the weeds before they start to bud.
If you leave them to grow high, they'll silence your voice,
And in December you may pay with your blood.

Chorus
So close your eyes, stop your ears,
Close your mouth and take it slow,
Let others take the lead and you bring up the rear,
And later you can say you didn't know.

Every day another vulture takes flight,
There's a new danger born every morning.
In the darkness of your blindness the beast will learn to bite,
How can you fight if you don't recognise the warning.
Chorus as after 2nd verse.

Today you can earn a living wage,
Tomorrow you may be on the dole;
Though there's millions going hungry, you needn't disengage,
For it's them, not you, who's fallen in a hole.
Chorus

Today the soldiers took away one,
Tomorrow they may take away two,
One April they took away Greece,
But surely they will never take you.
Chorus.

It's all right for you if you run with the pack,
It's alright if you agree with all they do.
If Fascism is slowly climbing back,
It's not here yet, so what's it got to do with you.
Chorus.

The weeds are all around us and they're growing,
It will soon be too late for the knife;
If you leave them on the wind that around the world is blowing
You may pay for your silence with your life.

Final Chorus
So close your eyes, stop your ears,
Close your mouth and never dare;
And if it happens here, they'll never come for you,
Because they'll know you really didn't care.
