So sad to hear this news.
Another body blow for this year barely a quarter over.

Joe was a man of great conviction and integrity (and, at times, an entirely justified obstinacy!) who showed immense courage in the face of everything this world threw at him.
One of the folk scene's real good guys (as well as a valued friend - thanks mate!), and a unique presence who will be much missed.

We can be grateful that he finally managed to get his magnum opus Ramblings published last year - what better memorial!
