Oh dear, I probably shouldn't have described a running joke. It's suddenly very quite.

On the upside, there seem to be people willing to buy my mother's house. It's probably a bit of pressure to get it empty in time, but there's hope that after this I'll get to enjoy Summer without having to wonder how to get rid of the house and its mortgage. I might even feel like singing some folk songs. (-:
