Well my wife was admitted to hospital 10 days ago for emergency debridement surgery and serious intravenous antibiotics - had 2 sessions now, and since yesterday has a Vaccuum Assisted Suction dressing on both legs, connected to an electronic pump which sucks out exudate and other gunge which hitherto has gathered around and infected the ulcerated area.

Now the funy thing is, and nobody thought of this at time of putting on the suction dressings, she can't take off her knickers because of the arrangement of tubing from the dressings into a Y connector an then into the pump!!!!!!

As to "the doctor", our NHS GP practice have been frankly useless. Thank goodness we have private medical insurance!
