Scots law uses different terms of art than others, but I don't think there are any more of them.

From the UK, American legal language looks weird because so much of it is untranslated Latin. Scots law uses nativized terms even more than English law, despite the system itself being built up on the Roman model.

One of my fave legal terms (international) is "bond of bottomry". No it doesn't involve whips, chains and leather chaps.
