The problem was that you posted the lyrics to be permanently stored as a resource for singers to use. But you credited Anne Lorne Gillies, who was only the singer - not the author or composer. This then leads to misinformation which can snowball. The singer or band is not always the originator of the work. It's difficult to explain.. but there are copyright societies throughout the world who store song registrations used for the crediting and royalty collection when songs are licensed for broadcasting and recording. So you should credit the registered writer/s if it's a modern song, (unless there is some factual error), along with the lyric. Joe gave a good guide as to Mudcat's accepted requirement for lyric additions. You don't just blindly put the performer/recording artist down as the originator of the work. I Hope that is clear for the future!
