I learned this song when I was a child; I'm now 71. I taught it to my 12 year old grandson, Jett. For some reason, we can't remember the first five syllables. We went on line to see what the words are and were amazed at all the different lyrics. Since the majority sings "Oh Jemima" we'll accept that until we remember what we used to sing.
No one sings the words that we remember exactly; but, we like ours best!
