I just read the post title and went online just to mention Nancy's song!!
In fact that very song was played on Uni of California Santa Barbera radio station only two or three (Saturdays?) ago, as the very last number! (I had sent a copy of the book+cd to our mutual friend Linda who lent same to her friend Rhoda whose - son? - is involved in the radio programme - -- )
Not sure what the listeners would have made of Nancy's Caithness accent?!!!!!
