Hahahaha Tattie! I've just watched that on Youtube (sung by the McCalmans) What a scream! I've made my husband listen to it (and translated most of it as the accent was a bit much for him to understand) He honestly does still think a woman should be content with being a nurse, an air-hostess and a farmer's daughter. He was really frightened on the flight to Paris; he just couldn't feel confident in having a female pilot.

He had a small operation at the top of his leg a while ago. (local anaesthetic) and the plastic surgeon was...a wumman. He whispered in French "Where is the surgeon? Why is it only a nurse?" Cheeky bugger. I told him (in French) to shut up, or I'd tell her what he'd said and she'd likely let the knife slip...

I've had some wonderful bosses in teaching of both sexes. Great Headteachers.
