The Wormhole is TV and is MC'd by Morgan Freeman. It makes its format user friendly and easily understood. Some of its episodes are applicable to your discipline. The episode called something like 6th sense and demonstrates that prescience of mind, psychic phenomena and sensing a flexible time is grounded in science more than we thought.
There is a quantum connection in those phenomena.

The concept of parallel universe allows the mind to imagine second chances and overcome the regret of poor choices which I can see to be helpful in counseling/therapy. Do I have it right?

While in practice I used music in some hypnosis sessions but learned one must be very careful of the lyrics. ('Take the long road home' became a real post hypnotic suggestion afterwards) No harm done but there was concern by some of the subject driving in a fugue state.
Lyric free is best for me in most cases.

Down the Rabbit Hole is a 15 year old DVD that explores the realities and conjectures for human consciousness.
