Tunesmith probably shouldn't look at any of Chris Difford's lyrics, clearly - try "Up The Junction", for starters.

Though I wonder... I remember many decades ago being shown how Louis MacNiece's "Bagpipe Music" was deliberately made up of bad/false rhymes (Blavatsky/Taxi etc) as a specific effect (like the dissonance of bagpipes) - perhaps Difford was doing the same.
