Because I enjoy listening to those little radio stations that play
Oldies-But-Goodies vintage popular music,
I have heard an elderly recording of this song.
It opened with verse 1, then proceeded to the chorus.
I don't recall Verse 2 at all, my presumption is Verse 2 was left out of this performance.
And the singer was:
Frankie Laine.
So that's DECADES ago.

And that must by Kay Starr whose vocal performance I remember hearing
a VERY long time ago.
A big BROAD performance, but then Kay Starr was like that.
