It was mentioned to me, since I didn't work it out for myself, that the music playing over the feed from Tesla was "Space Oddity" the David Bowie version. And that David Bowie played the part of Nikola Tesla in the movie: "The Prestige".

You could 'hear' the music as the camera focused on the Tesla dashboard and the words displayed: "Don't Panic!"

As to money. It's a subject worth going into. The main point of economy to be made is that Tesla/ Elon Musk have made an impressive debut of a heavy lifting rocket system which is substantially less expensive than anything NASA has got. It was a tour-de-force of capability on a budget. So, in fact, it enables the first world to accomplish space tasks and have more left over to do other things with which it would not otherwise have.
