I am forcibly reminded of "All In The Family," the TV sitcom from years ago.
The topic was the hijacking of passenger plane flights,
and there was this fake reality-show called The Man In The Street.
What happened was that Archie Bunker found himself in the crosshairs.
So Archie Bunker went on camera and stated,
What you gotta do is
you gotta arm all your passengers . . .

this was supposed to be comedy . . .
