because he liberated me from a childhood Mondegreen.

On one dialogue between a little girl and her father,
Jean Ritchie sings (now that I know better)
"Poppy, buy me a Big Glass Doll, Do, Poppy, Do!"
for some reason, all those years I heard

"Poppy, buy me a Big Black Star..."

so that clears that up!
