I was there too, running the Nags Head, York, Battersea and The Nag's Head, Wandsworth Road with my then partner Bill Knox. We went on to run The Half Moon, Putney. I'm so pleased someone else remembers Joe Shakespeare and that time. I loved his playing. I do not know what happened to him, or Bill (who must be about 82 now).
