Yes, I agree he was never that prolific, as evidenced by his inability to come up with any new songs for The Graduate soundtrack, apart from adapting his half written song about Mrs Roosevelt (to Mrs Robinson). I often wonder if that started off the subsequent rather cheapskate trend for film soundtracks to just churn out old but familiar existing hit songs rather than compose new material.
