One month ago,
I posted to this thread about
the homage to Dr. Seuss's Lorax
drawn on a blackboard in colored chalk
in the public library, in the area
where grade school students often reserve study rooms.

Unless someone like you
cares a whole awful lot,
nothing's going
to get better.
It's not.

Complete with the Lorax standing on what looks like a tree stump.

Well, the message is still there on the chalkboard,
and so is the little tree stump.

But somebody had the [expletive deleted]
to rub out the Lorax,
and rather than re-chalk the little Lorax,
the staff used a chalkboard eraser to put the Lorax out of his misery.

a sign of the times?
