The 7th Fastnet Maritime and Folk Festival will be held from the 15th – 17th June 2018
The Fastnet Maritime and Folk Festival is an international festival based in the picturesque village of Ballydehob, West Cork, featuring maritime and other folk music.Ballydehob FastnetMaritime Festival is 7 Years old and we are celebrating in style!    Since its inception the festival’s programme has grown in standard the West Cork Village continues to host a string of extraordinary musicians and eclectic events.                                                                                  This year we launch an ambitious programme to date which will secure Ballydehob's place on Irelands Music Festival Calendar.   
The 2018 Festival will run over 4 Days,                                        Friday June 15 through to Monday june 18.
4 International Headliner Acts, Martin Carthy Matt Cranitch Jackie Daly,StoryTeller Eddie Lenihane, Tom Lewis and over 30 performances throughout the Village, an Artisan Food & Craft Market, a   weekend consisting of Maritime Themed Events, Maritime Song Sessions, Maritime Songwriting Competition sponsored by IMRO, and a Maritime Talk by ex Royal Navy Sailor Tom Lewis, all leading up to a swinging Shanty Party on the Sunday night.
This festival is run entirely by volunteers, a of music lovers & festival buffs who share a vision to promote the arts & bring people to the remarkable and unique corner of the world that is Ballydehob, West Cork.
