It would be better for everyone if threads always stay completely on-topic, and don't meander off, as they so often do, into pointless and unrelated discussions.

The surest way to achieve this would be if, rather than posting any original ideas of our own, we can all agree just to copy and paste the OP as our own contribution to any thread.
