We've spent many a summer's week in a remote cortijo in inland Andalucía in recent years. The day temperature routinely goes above 35C, often 40, and doesn't fall below 26 or 27C at night. There's little breeze and there's no air conditioning. Mrs Steve is a bit more discreet than me, but I sleep on top of the bed bollock naked with a large electric fan about two feet from my arse. I sleep like a top! Down, girls!
