Two great blind folk fiddlers from the same village in Transylvania: Janos Zerkula and Viktor Timar. Zerkula died in 2008, a few months before I first went there - I've seen Timar in action and he was terrific. There is a lot of video of Zerkula on the web, often accompanied by his wife on the gardon (string drum).
