It looks like this to me:

A: This is offensive.

B: Lighten up.

A: This is offensive because of blah blah blah.

B: This is not offensive because of yada-yada-yada. Lighten up.

A: This is offensive, can't you see? Yip yip yip.

B: This is not offensive, what's wrong with you? Lighten up.

and so forth.

I don't really see any communication taking place.
