I think the "try something else" just demonstrates how low people's opinions of mainstream politicians has sunk.

Just take the UK - the Blairs and Camerons of this world have this seemingly inbuilt "PR filter" in between their brains and their mouths and people have quite rightly sussed it and mistrust the mainstream hence the freakish results.
