Thread Name: Lyr Req: This Ol' Cowboy (Toy Caldwell)
Subject: Who wrote & sang this song?
I would deeply appreciate if you could tell me who is the singer or songwriter of this song. I heard it on the radio 20 years ago, and I'm still searching for the name of the singer!! I don't know the title; But here is the first verse and chorus:

Well I'm headin down to San Antone Waiting for an eight o'clock train My woman left me late last night Things ain't been quite the same Gotta get back to Dallas In time for New Year's Eve I'm gonna work my way and make a hundred dollars Aw, and hit the road again

I don't want you to think you're the first one To leave me out here all alone Cause this ain't gonna be the first time This poor cowboy's spent the night alone

Honey I've been a fool But a bigger fool I don't know when I've been Just to open up my arms Aw, and let you walk right in

I can't remember any more of the lyrics. If you know PLEASE post the name of the singer/songwriter and I'll rush out and buy this song!!
