Can I clarify my comment. I was not challenging the penalty or the reason for giving it.....What I meant is that the extremely early score knocked Spurs out of any plans they may have had. They blew it.

They seemed to think that they had a mountain to climb making it so that Liverpool really didn't have to play well to win. They were always in command and rightly held themselves together to create an easy victory.

Incidently Virgil had Kane in his pocket through-out the game....fantastic player ( and man ) . both he and the goalkeeper have been responsible for the improvement that Liverpool has demonsrtrated this season. And I suspect there is more to come.
