I don't know any Brit. versions, but I know of a Swedish one - Filarfolket, a very fine Swedish band of the 80s/90s, recorded an album of kids' play songs from southern Sweden, Hönsafötter gulerötter, which has a version of this (with the "one, two, three" in English, I notice). As well as being on topic, it's a tremendous recording, great music, loads of fun. (it was rereleased on CD, but I can't see any links to that).
