I am trying to find the word “sproose”; I have checked the directory of Scottish terms but I cannot locate it on that site.

The CORRIES, a singing team, use the word in their song, ‘THE HEILAND HOUSE HUNTER.

IT APPARENTLY MEANS TO TRICK OR DECEIVE.
