Just back from a lovely week in Whitby with the grandkids. Couple of food places impressed me. For snacks the "Yapas" at the Black Horse are very good. The other is Hadleys restaurant. The fish and chips are excellent, as is the rest of the food. It was the service that was particularly brilliant though. We had a vegetarian with us who asked if they did chips in oil rather than dripping. They didn't but they did tell us that the takeaway across the road, Robertsons, did. They were happy for our veggie member to get their chips from the takeaway and eat them in their restaurant. Even providing a plate and cutlery! Not many would do that.
